Current Artist

Kelley Ronayne Green followed many artistic passions throughout her life and career. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky she has always had a sense of the importance of Art in the community, though never having any formal introduction until high school. She was encouraged by a wonderful teacher, Barbara Hester, and earned a full scholarship to Xavier University. Kelley has worked in ceramics, drawing, painting and glass. In 1995 she began working with Architectural Glass Art, Inc., the founding institution of Louisville's Glassworks. Initially a crafts-person, she quickly moved to project management and design work for and with other artists, as well as having three sons, she is now refocusing on her own art and finding her voice and vision therein.Currently she is working in acrylics on canvas with a concentration on the abstract, for private commissions as well as pursuing directions entirely her own. Her use of vibrant color and bold stroke creates a sense of structure within the free form movement of her pieces. Inevitably drawn to nature and it's calm or forceful states of being, Kelley's paintings can invoke in the viewer a sense of peace, fluidity and tangible energy.
